WHY ARE YOUR GARMENTS WORTH THE PRICE?

We don't make cheap fast fashion, but we get it. So here's why our garments are worth every cent and will actually cost you less over time, and less per wear, than cheaply made competitor garments.

1. Local ethical production: Our garments are proudly made to the highest standards in Melbourne, Australia by our Ethical Clothing Australia accredited manufacturer. This means high quality control standards apply to all our garments, and it supports local makers who are paid fairly, in safe, clean working conditions. Ethical manufacturing costs more than offshore mass production, but it's a non-negotiable for us. When you buy with us, you're not just buying a garment, you're backing a more ethical fashion industry, local makers and the local economy.

2. Premium Quality: Our garments are spun from premium quality Italian fabric. We use high performance, cutting edge technology fabric, with superior durability and quality compared to competitor fabrics. It's more resistant to fibre breakage, so it keeps its shape for longer, and avoids those irritating pulls, nicks and runs more than any other fabric we tested. It is also more resistant to chlorine, sunscreen and oil than competitor fabrics. Our fabric is engineered to stay looking good for longer, and to last season after season, wear after wear. That means fewer replacements over time - so the actual cost per wear is much lower than fast fashion alternatives that will end up in landfill all too soon.

3. Made to last: Our garments aren't built for throwaway fashion cycles. They're timeless, versatile pieces designed to move with you and not just on the beach - they work whether you're paddling, parenting, or just out and about. Our garments are UPF50+ swimwear that double as UPF50+ activewear and casual wear. This is slow fashion done right: fewer pieces, better quality and a lighter footprint on the planet.

4. Sustainable fashion: Sustainability starts with longevity. When you choose garments that last, you're helping reduce textile waste and overproduction. The "buy less, buy well philosophy" supports a more sustainable future - and gives you something you can feel good about wearing, again and again.

5. Investment in your skin: Our garments are an investment in your skin and long term health. For more about the risks of skin cancer and premature ageing caused by sun exposure over time, see more on our About Us page.

WHERE ARE YOUR GARMENTS MADE?

Our garments are proudly made in Melbourne, where we live and work, by our Ethical Clothing Australia accredited manufacturer.

WHAT IS SLOW FASHION?

Fast fashion is like fast food, and slow fashion is just the opposite. Slow fashion is about choosing quality over quantity, and making clothing that lasts - not just for one season, but for years.

Slow fashion means thoughtful design, ethical production, and less waste. It values the people who make your clothes, the materials they're made from, and the impact they have on the planet.

When you choose slow fashion, you're not just buying something to wear - you're supporting a better way of doing things: less overproduction, less landfill, and more intention behind every piece.

WHAT IS UPF50+

UPF50+ is the highest rating for sun protection in clothing. It stands for Ultraviolet Protection Factor. A rating of UPF50+ means the fabric blocks at least 98% of harmful UVA and UVB rays.

Our fabric has been independently tested and rated as UPF50+ (Excellent Protection) by ARPANSA, which is the Australian Government's authority on UV protection. UPF50+ is the highest level of protection, so you can enjoy the outdoors with confidence knowing you're protected.

In contrast, a standard cotton shirt or tee generally has a UPF rating of around 5. Not solid sun protection, and doesn't even meet ARPANSA's "minimum" protection rating of 15! Think about that next time you see someone throw on a cotton tee at the beach.

In addition, our garments are designed to provide excellent body coverage while still looking flatteringly cute - even our short sleeve tees have sleeves that cover most of the upper arm, our neckline is not gapey (or tight) and we have a lovely flattering torso length for extra coverage.

Unlike sunscreen, UPF clothing doesn't wear off or need reapplying. It's built into the fabric offering consistent protection wherever it covers your skin. We recommend also wearing SPF on all exposed areas!

How Long Does An Order Take To Arrive?

We dispatch every order from our warehouse in Melbourne, Australia on the same or next business day.

Once we have processed the order, it is in the hands of shipping carriers, such as Australia Post. We have set out their expected shipping times for each part of Australia, and some international markets, in our Shipping Policy.

Once an order leaves us, carrier shipping delays may occur due to factors outside our control. We, unfortunately, can’t control how quickly an order arrives once it has left our warehouse. We include tracking with your order, and this is the best way to get more insight into your package’s location and estimated delivery date.

WILL I HAVE TO PAY EXTRA TAXES ON INTERNATIONAL ORDERS?

If you are placing an order for delivery outside of Australia, any import duties, taxes or customs fees are not charged at checkout and may be charged later by your local customs authority when your order arrives.

We have set out further guidance in our Shipping Policy.

How Can I Choose The Right Size For Me?

We adopt a universal sizing system that aims to provide a reference for all countries. You can spot the best size for you by referring to our Size Guide that provides a conversion table to all major country size systems.

The Size Guide is conveniently available as a pop up on the page of each product.

Our rashguards are designed to be a relaxed classic tee style fit. The standard fit is shown in the website photography of our model who wears a size XS and is an Australian size 6-8. If you prefer a firmer fit to this standard style fit, then go a size down a size.
